USDA will accept Canadian digital export certificates for live bovine as of June 1, 2020

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and the United States Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (USDA-APHIS) have come to an agreement that as of June 1, 2020, the United States (US) will accept electronically signed health certificates (i.e. certificates that are requested and issued via My CFIA) for the import of live cattle and bison at all US Points of Entry. Regular certification will continue to be accepted by the USDA.

An electronic export certificate pilot program using My CFIA for live bovine to the US began in November 2019 in Emerson, Manitoba. This work is continuing and will be expanded to additional ports in measured stages, based on industry and CFIA readiness. More information will be shared as more ports of entry are ready to implement the electronic export certificates in your area.

 L'USDA acceptera les certificats d'exportation numérique canadiens pour les bovins vivants à compter du 1er juin 2020

L'Agence canadienne d'inspection des aliments (ACIA) et le Plant Health Inspection Service du département de l'agriculture des États-Unis (USDA-APHIS) ont conclu une entente selon laquelle, à compter du 1er juin 2020, les États-Unis accepteront les certificats de santé signés électroniquement (c.‑à‑d. les certificats qui sont demandés et émis par Mon ACIA) pour l'importation de bovins et de bisons vivants à tous les points d'entrée des États-Unis. L'USDA continuera d'accepter le certificat ordinaire.

Un programme pilote de certificat d'exportation électronique utilisant Mon ACIA pour l'exportation de bovins vivants vers les États-Unis a été lancé en novembre 2019 à Emerson, au Manitoba. Ce travail se poursuit et sera étendu à d'autres ports selon des étapes déterminées, en fonction de l'état de préparation de l'industrie et de l'ACIA. D'autres renseignements seront partagés, car d'autres points d'entrée sont prêts à mettre en œuvre les certificats d'exportation électroniques dans votre région.
