New York State authorized as an approved source for grapevine and fruit tree material

Please be advised that the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has updated Appendices 1 and 2 of directive D-94-35: List of Sources Approved to Export Fruit Tree and Grape Propagative Material to Canada to reflect recent changes to the approval of certified propagative material of apple (Malus spp.) and grapevine (Vitis spp.) originating from the United States.

Effective immediately, any certified variety and rootstock of apple and grapevine may be imported from New York State, provided the material is produced and exported by a facility authorized by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets as a participant under the CFIA-accepted New York State Virus-Tested Plant Material Certification Program.

Note: Appendix 5 of directive D-94-34: Import Requirements for Grapevine Propagative Material has been updated to reflect these changes for propagative material of grapevine (Vitis spp.).

Veuillez noter que l'Agence canadienne d'inspection des aliments (ACIA) a mis à jour les annexes 1 et 2 de la directive D-94-35: Liste des sources approuvées pour l'exportation de matériel de multiplication d'arbres fruitiers et de vigne au Canada afin de refléter les récents changements apportés à l'approbation du matériel de multiplication certifié de pommier (Malus spp.) et de vigne (Vitis spp.) provenant des États-Unis.

À compter d'aujourd'hui, toute variété et tout porte-greffe certifiés de pommier et de vigne peuvent être importés de l'État de New York, à condition que le matériel soit produit et exporté par un établissement autorisé par le New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets à titre de participant au New York State Virus-Tested Plant Material Certification Program, accepté par l'ACIA.

Note : L'Annexe 5 de la directive D-94-34 : Exigences relatives à l'importation de matériel de multiplication de la vigne a été mise à jour afin de refléter ces changements pour le matériel de multiplication de la vigne (Vitis spp.).
