U.S. CBP to Test Advance Data Requirements for E-Commerce Shipments
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has announced that starting Aug. 22 it will conduct an approximately one-year test under which additional data elements for Section 321 goods will be transmitted in advance of their arrival.
CBSA Signs Mutual Recognition Arrangements with Hong Kong and New Zealand
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) today announced the signing of two Mutual Recognition Arrangements (MRAs) with the Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department and with the New Zealand Customs Service regarding their respective Trusted Trader programs. The signings took place on the margins of the World Customs Organization Council Sessions in Brussels, Belgium.
Trade Policy Review: Canada
The eleventh review of the trade policies and practices of Canada takes place on 12 and 14 June 2019. The basis for the review is a report by the WTO Secretariat and a report by the Government of Canada.

Canada appeals WTO ruling on U.S. lumber duties: official
Canada has appealed against a World Trade Organization (WTO) panel ruling in a case it lost in April that would allow the United States to use “zeroing” to calculate anti-dumping tariffs on lumber, a WTO official said on Wednesday.
