National Conference Program Now Available!

We are pleased to share the preliminary program for the 2019 CSCB National Conference.

Big changes are coming to the world of imports! To help you understand what these changes will mean for your business, day 1 of the conference will be dedicated to CBSA’s CARM (CBSA Assessment and Revenue Management) initiative.

The opening session will focus on the current state of CARM with a presentation by the CARM VP, Lisa Anawati. This will be followed by a session that highlights the most significant implications of that initiative for customs brokers and importers. And then we will get down into the weeds with a series of interactive workshops that will explore how CARM will impact your business operations, from getting your IT ready for the system changes, through Release Prior to Payment security requirements, to how the broker-importer relationship will change.

The day will end with a wonderful Dine-Around Tour for delegates and their companions, featuring Whistler’s best restaurants.

On day 2 of the conference we'll dive into the latest CITT and Federal Court decisions, CBSA's audit plans for customs brokers, and changes proposed for low value shipments.

The conference will close with a guest speaker, Dr. John Izzo, a business leadership expert, who has worked with thousands of companies around the world, on employee-engagement strategies and brand transformations, and is known for his hard hitting practical content, his inspirational storytelling and the lasting impact he has on organizations.
