On April 23, 2014, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (Tribunal), pursuant to subsection 76.03(3) of the Special Import Measures Act (SIMA), initiated an expiry review of its order made on January 6, 2010 in Expiry Review No. RR-2009-001 which continued with amendment, its findings of material injury made on January 7, 2005 in Inquiry No.

Customs Notice 14-009 - Changes to the Canada Border Services Agency Policy Respecting the Importation and Transportation of Goods (Sealing Requirements)

1.  Further to Customs Notice 13-010, dated April 29, 2013, which outlined proposed changes to the Canada Border Services Agency’s (CBSA) cargo control and sufferance warehouse regulations and policies, this notice announces changes to the CBSA’s sealing requirements for conveyances and containers that have been authorized to move inland to a sufferance warehouse.

Small business confidence warmed noticeably in April. CFIB's Business Barometer® Index is a point and a half higher this month, rising to 65.7—its best result since last November.
