Beef and Veal – Commodity Codes Changes
As a result of recent changes to the Customs Tariff Schedule, Global Affairs Canada has modified various commodity codes for certain beef and veal products in the Export Import Controls System (EICS). Please note that some commodity codes has been eliminated and replaced. A table of concordance with the details regarding of these changes is provided below:

Please, use the new tariff items in effect for your shipment-specific import permit applications in the future. With respect to the shipment-specific import permits that have been issued with tariff items that are no longer in effect, you may apply for permit cancellations and a replacements under the usual procedure.
