Please note, this is a duplicate of the message sent on 7 December 2018.
Clients Affected: All importers and brokers
Update on the upcoming format release for Statements and Daily Notices.
As you are aware, there is an upcoming format change for your statements and daily notices.
As of the following dates, only the new format will be issued:
Statements of Account – Friday January 25, 2019
Daily Notices – Saturday January 26, 2019
Test Environment
To ensure your system has been coded correctly to receive the new DN and SOA formats, we are offering a test environment. The test files will contain your data from the April 2018 accounting period. Test copies of your April 25, 2018 DN and SOA will be sent to your test connection that was set up when ARL was implemented in January 2016. If you think your test profile has since changed, include your new information for verification against our records (PKI Certificate, Network Type, Identifiers, Receiver IDs, Record Terminators or any other values that have changed). As statements are now available for carrier and warehouse accounts with a valid BN9, we would also like to send test files for these accounts. If you have applied to receive carrier or warehouse notices, or have clients that have applied for these notices, please provide the BN9 for those accounts.
To receive a test file of the new statement format:
- Send an email to the ARL Client Testing mailbox at: CBSA.ARL_client_testing-Essai_pour_clients_du_GLCC.ASFC@cbsa-asfc.gc.ca
- The Subject Line should read - ‘SOA/DN Testing/Company Name’.
- Include the name and BN15/BN9 of the test files you would like to receive.
- Provide updates to your profile, if applicable.
- Provide the BN9(s) of your carrier or warehouse account(s), if applicable.
Validating your statements
If you would like us to confirm that your statements are displaying the data and format properly, send an email to ARL Client Testing mailbox with a few sample statements.
