CFIA Consultation - Private Certification

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is assessing industry’s use of private certification processes to determine their effectiveness as an additional tool in the CFIA risk-based oversight regulatory process. As such, the CFIA is seeking feedback from stakeholders on its discussion paper entitled "Use of Private Certification to Inform Regulatory Risk-Based Oversight". The consultation will begin on May 28, 2014 and will be open for 60 days. It will end July 28, 2014.
