CN 14-011, Amendments to the Departmental Consolidation of the Customs Tariff

Further to our message of May 5, 2014, Customs Tariff Update – T2014-1, the following is available on the CBSA website:

1.  The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) wishes to advise of an amendment to the January 1, 2014 version of the Departmental Consolidation of the Customs Tariff (Tariff).

2.  An amended version of the Departmental Consolidation of the Customs Tariff, reflecting all of these changes, will be posted on the Canada Border Services Agency Web site prior to the effective date.

3.  For certainty regarding the tariff classification of a product, importers may request an advance ruling on tariff classification. Details on how to make such a request can be found in CBSA Memorandum D11-11-3, Advance Rulings for Tariff Classification, which is found on the CBSA Web site.
