The transition period for the Fertilizers Regulations is coming to an end on October 26, 2023. After that date, all fertilizer and supplement importers, manufacturers, distributors and retailers are required to comply with the provisions of the amended regulations.

Unprecedented circumstances created by the pandemic caused business disruptions across the value chain. As a result, industry is facing challenges meeting the transition deadline for new product registrations.

The CFIA is responding to concerns by implementing compliance promotion strategies for selected product categories to minimize impacts on industry during their transition to the new regulations.

Avis à l’industrie: Mise en œuvre de la modification du Règlement sur les engrais

La période de transition du Règlement sur les engrais prend fin le 26 octobre 2023. Après cette date, tous les importateurs, fabricants, distributeurs et détaillants d’engrais et de suppléments devront se conformer aux dispositions du règlement modifié.

Les circonstances sans précédent créées par la pandémie ont provoqué des perturbations commerciales dans toute la chaîne de valeur. Par conséquent, l’industrie a du mal à respecter la date limite de transition pour l’enregistrement des nouveaux produits.

L’ACIA répond aux préoccupations en mettant en œuvre des stratégies de promotion de la conformité pour certaines catégories de produits afin de minimiser les impacts sur l’industrie pendant la transition vers le nouveau règlement.
