Consultations on CFIA's Draft Administrative Monetary Penalties Policy

Unlike the CBSA, CFIA does not publish a single list of all penalties. CFIA AMPs are issued under the Agriculture and Agri-Food Administrative Monetary Penalties Act for contraventions of the Canada Agricultural Products Act, the Farm Debt Mediation Act, the Feeds Act, the Fertilizers Act, the Health of Animals Act, the Meat Inspection Act, the Pest Control Products Act, the Plant Protection Act, and the Seeds Act.

CFIA is holding consultations on its draft Administrative Monetary Penalties (AMPs) Policy. The new policy defines the CFIA’s approach to using AMPs consistently for violations against acts mentioned above.
