Please be advised that the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has updated the “Accredited Veterinarian’s Manual”
The following module has been updated:
Module 5.10: Export to the U.S.- Birds, Poultry and Hatching Eggs

All avian certificates for exportation to the U.S. have been amended in May 2018 to contain a declaration that animals do not originate from flocks nor had contact with any birds or poultry originating in a control zone established by federal animal health authorities due to outbreaks of Newcastle disease or Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza. This declaration will help preserve trading in case of disease incursion.
Please make sure you are using the most recent version of the export certificate. However, a transition period ending June 15, 2018 has been established with the U.S. in which both versions of the certificates will be accepted.
