Export certification requirements on USDA performance standards for Campylobacter on chilled carcasses of young chickens and turkeys have been updated.

Questions and Answers on Weed Seeds Order, 2016

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has posted a series of questions and answers to its website regarding the Weed Seeds Order (WSO), 2016. The WSO is a ministerial order made under the Seeds Act and plays a critical role in preventing the introduction of new weed species into Canada by preventing or limiting the presence of weed species in seed sold in, or imported into, Canada.

Return to Using Mexico’s Original Official Meat Inspection Certificates (OMICs)

Please note that Mexico has advised us that they are once again in a position to generate the originally negotiated OMICs for Bovine and Porcine products.

CFIA has granted a three week transition period during which time both the Interim OMICs and Original OMICs would be accepted.
