Provisional OMICs for Beef and Pork Shipments from Mexico
Please be advised that due to system maintenance, Mexico is unable to generate the currently negotiated Official Meat Inspection Certificates (OMIC)’s for beef and Pork products exported to Canada.
In the interim, for a short period of time, provisional OMIC’s will be accepted for the import of bovine and porcine meat and meat products from Mexico.

Please be advised that revised Annex-A for Chile is published and new set of OMIC’s have been negotiated. Contact CFIA inspector to obtain a copy of the OMIC.

Canadian and American negotiators aren’t close to reaching a new softwood lumber agreement, Canada’s chief negotiator on the deal, Martin Moen, told the House international trade committee Thursday.
But they’re still holding out hope for a new agreement before a so-called “standstill period” expires in October.
