Statistics Canada reports manufacturing sales fell 1.3% in July
Statistics Canada says manufacturing sales fell 1.3 per cent to $57.2 billion in July as sales in the primary metal and motor vehicle industries moved lower.
The agency says sales were down in 11 industries in July, representing 66.8 per cent of total manufacturing sales.

USMCA language ‘pretty exciting’ for supply chain professionals
Negotiations among the three nations to replace NAFTA concluded in September 2018. Mexico has signed the USMCA into law, and Canada is close to ratifying it. In the United States, Congress has yet to take up the free trade agreement.
[US] CBP provides trade policy guidance on Drawback Claims under ACE
A complete drawback claim shall consist of a successful claim acceptance in ACE and the successful upload of mandatory documents into the Digital Image System (DIS). Documents must be uploaded within 24 hours of claim acceptance in order to maintain the claim date generated by the ACE submission. Otherwise, the claim date is subject to change.
