Safe Food for Canadians licences coming up for renewal

3 days until some food licences expire, renew now

Some Safe Food for Canadians (SFC) licence holders will need to take action now to ensure they renew their licence before it expires. Some SFC licences expire on January 15, 2021 while others will expire in the days and weeks that follow.

Canadian international merchandise trade, November 2020

In November, Canada's merchandise exports increased 0.5%, with gold exports posting the largest increase. Imports edged down 0.3%, on lower imports of industrial machinery, equipment and parts. As a result, Canada's merchandise trade deficit with the world narrowed from $3.7 billion in October, to $3.3 billion in November.

Foods and beverages affected by changes to animal health policy for milk imports

Following is a message from CFIA:

We are continuing with publishing the updates to import conditions for foods and beverages with milk ingredients. However, due to IT limitations we will be unable to publish all the changes simultaneously on February 2, 2021 as previously planned. Instead, the changes will be published gradually between February 2 and March 2, 2021.

CBSA Message: TCC21-008 – Changes to the SWI IID Regulated Commodities Data Element Matching Criteria

The CBSA is pleased to announce that Trade Chain Partners can now use the SWI IID Regulated Commodities Data Element Matching Criteria to identify commodities regulated by a particular Participating Government Department or Agency (PGA) program.
