Stephen Poloz says it's a slow recovery for export sector

Bank of Canada governor Stephen Poloz says he's not expecting a recovery by Canadian exporters that succumbed to the financial crisis, but he remains optimistic replacements will eventually step up to fill the void.

For it to happen, Poloz is counting on companies that pulled through the turmoil to expand their operations and for the emergence of new exporting firms.

CN Customs Bulletin: For all Ocean traffic being exported from the U.S. via Canada

Previously, any outbound AES/ITN/EEI rail shipment exported from the U.S., through the port of Port Huron, that was found by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to have an inaccurate ITN number was placed in a status commonly called the “15 business day hold.”  This allowed the exporter fifteen days, after departure, to provide the appropriate or corrected ITN number.
