Canadian Sanctions Related to Russia – Updated

On September 29, 2022, Canada further amended the Special Economic Measures (Russia) Regulations to list an additional 43 individuals who are family members of already listed oligarchs, additional oligarchs or financial elites.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has extended its fee cap on service fees for certain animal health export certificates until September 30, 2024. The current fee cap of $78.02 will continue to be adjusted for inflation for the duration of the remission.

The federal government is dropping all COVID-19 measures at borders, meaning travellers will no longer need to provide proof of vaccination when entering Canada or wear masks on planes and trains, Ottawa announced today.
